1. Who We Are

Portland Earthquake Preparedness, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is a limited liability company registered in Oregon. We operate pdxquakeprep.com and deliver earthquake preparedness subscription kits to households in the Portland, Oregon area.

2. Information We Collect

If you join our interest list before launch, we collect:

• Email address — to notify you when the program becomes available for purchase

If you subscribe to our program, we additionally collect:

• Name — to address your account and delivery
• Shipping address — to deliver your kit (Portland metro area only)
• Payment information — processed and stored by Stripe, Inc. on our behalf; we do not store your credit card number

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, government IDs, health data, or financial account numbers beyond what is necessary to process payment.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Communicate with interest list subscribers about our program and its availability
• Fulfill and deliver your subscription kit
• Communicate with you about your subscription (confirmations, delivery updates, renewal reminders, item refresh notifications, and occasional notifications of options to purchase supplementary or upgraded items for your kit)
• Maintain business and tax records as required by law
• Respond to your questions or requests

Interest list emails will be used only to communicate about our program and its availability. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, after which we will delete your email address promptly. You are responsible for updating your email address if it changes and you wish to continue receiving our emails. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond those listed above.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information only with the service providers necessary to operate our business. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

5. Data Retention

We will retain your limited personal information for the purpose of providing updates to preparedness best practices and to inform you if there is a manufacturer recall of any item in your kit. At our sole discretion, we will retain your personal information for a minimum of three (3) years after your subscription ends. This period is consistent with standard tax record requirements under IRS and Oregon guidelines. After this period, you may request we delete your name, email address, and shipping address. Even though we may retain your limited personal information for the stated time period, you may request to be removed from our communications list at any time after completion of your subscription; and you may request full deletion of your personal information after the three-year period.

Email addresses collected through the interest list that do not result in a purchase will be deleted within 90 days of our program launch announcement.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to any legal retention obligations as described above)
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Customer data is stored in access-controlled systems protected by two-factor authentication. We do not transmit customer lists via unencrypted email.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults managing household preparedness. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

9. Oregon Residents

We operate as an Oregon business and comply with applicable Oregon privacy law. Information about your rights under Oregon law can be found on the Oregon Department of Justice website, currently available at: doj.state.or.us/consumer-protection/id-theft-data-breaches/privacy/.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on pdxquakeprep.com with a revised "last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email.
